Our 30 Days Wild challenge didn’t go very well last week as I was ill and spent a lot of time in bed or lying on the sofa. However, towards the end of the week I was beginning to feel better and we enjoyed a wonderful day rockpooling with our local home-ed group and the Northam Burrows rangers. There were almost 30 home educated children there and it was great to see them all asking questions, sharing their knowledge and playing games together.
We did some nature-inspired chalk drawings in Nanny’s garden.
The children built sandcastles at the beach whilst I crocheted and enjoyed the sunshine.
We sat outside on the balcony listening to the birds.
We went for a cycle ride through the park and played with sticks.
We had a phonecall to say that Auntie Jennifer and Cousin Edward were in town for a few days, so we cancelled our plans and spent a lovely day at the beach with the in-laws. Aaron and Tabitha adore their littlest cousin!
We’ve also been working hard at the allotment, which is gradually looking less of a mess.
