Yesterday Tabitha wanted to go to Sunday School with Aaron and was very upset that she isn’t old enough, so I promised her a special activity instead. First we rubbed chalk all over her chalkboard easel and then she used a wet paintbrush to make marks.
I wrote her name in chalk and she painted over the top, which was the very first time she has traced letters. She did this over and over again and was so proud of herself!
At bedtime, she carefully “cleaned” every part of the easel before getting into her pyjamas.
Today we took the easel outside onto the balcony to enjoy a brief bit of sunshine.
This was a very easy and totally mess-free activity. I’m hoping that my little mindee, who isn’t very keen on getting her hands dirty, might be willing to have a go.
