We celebrated Aaron’s sixth birthday at the beginning of this week. Aaron and Tabitha spent the day at Two Rivers, as they normally do on Mondays. I was able to go with them as I’ve been covering for the teaching assistant, who is off work at the moment due to a family bereavement. Cooking for ten children on a camping stove in a shed was quite an experience! When we got home in the afternoon we had some time to relax and open presents. I took the evening off college and we went to Pizza Hut, which was where Aaron requested to have his birthday meal. Grandpa and DDS joined us there and the staff were so helpful, keeping the cake in the kitchen and then lighting the candles and bringing it in when we were ready. Afterwards, we took Aaron to spend some of his birthday and savings money on a telescope. The next day we were back at Two Rivers again, but in the afternoon we had some friends and family round for a slice of birthday cake which made Aaron very happy. Now we are just waiting for a clear evening to go stargazing!
