Aaron celebrated his 8th birthday last week. After karate we went to Pizza Hut with his best friend, who then came back to our house to play for a while. In the evening we had party food and various family members popped round with presents.
Several family members clubbed together to get him a Lego Mindstorms set. It’s really aimed at secondary school-aged children, but Aaron managed to build his first robot with virtually no help and then used an app to write and download his own programs. There are so many things that can be done with the set covering engineering, coding, maths and much more, it should keep him busy for years!
He was also given lots of Minecraft stuff and an electric hand mixer, which has already been used for lots of baking. He is such a sweet, generous boy and insisted on using some of his birthday money to buy treats for me and Tabitha.
Please excuse the poor quality photos, my camera has broken! I’m making do with my rubbish phone camera until I’ve saved up enough to replace it, hopefully before the baby is born!
